Eliza Kragh - A Deaf Trailblazer Pursuing Change

"Advocacy nudges the status quo, and I'm here to shift paradigms."

Eliza Kragh - born and raised in a family of lawyers - navigated her own path by believing in the power of advocacy for the Deaf. Eliza grew up amid the scenic valleys and mountains of Montana, forming a connection to her roots that would last a lifetime. Intriguing debates and intellectual conversations constantly sparked her curiosity and developed her fearlessness. Fueled by boundless enthusiasm, Eliza chose academia to quench her thirst for knowledge. She studied in the Polson School District and Montana School for the Deaf and Blind before obtaining a B.A. in Liberal Studies with a Psychology minor from the University of Montana. This rigorous pursuit led her to secure a Master of Science in Human Resource Development, graduating with a flawless 4.0 GPA at Rochester Institute of Technology.

The arc of Eliza’s career originally began in Veterinary Medicine, devoting herself to Emergency and Intensive Care after obtaining her Associates degree. Nonetheless, the spirit of advocacy within her grew more demanding, beckoning for her attention. After several years in the animal health field, she answered this call in March 2020, deciding to embrace her intuitive nature and strong connection with her roots. Leaving behind her career in Seattle, Eliza returned to Montana, shifting her path toward advocacy work. Her focus shifted towards empowering her local Deaf community, persistently advocating for their rights and needs. Her tenure in the veterinary field flavored her perspective, adding valuable insights to her new journey as an advocate.
